Mr Puhitra Te Tau, of Masterton, wiho has had some experience in the military sphere, having 'been for some years an officer of the Native Mounted Rifle Corps, has been entrusted Wx.ui the work of organising the Natives in the Wairarapa district. Mr Te Tau will address the Natives in various parte, and will enrol those who intend registering as members of infantry companies. He •will also form a Mounted Corps in the district, of which lie will be theofficer commanding. *
