AN EXCITING INCIDENT.

ON THE OPAKI ROAD.

A somewhat- exciting incident occurred at the railway and road junction on the Opaki, near Masterton, on Wednesday afternoon. The down train from Woodville, which precedes the mail train,, dashed into a motor car driven by a traveller Tlra car was .thrown off the line and considerably damaged. The occupant (whose name has not transpired) fortunately escaped with a shaking.
