RATES OF SHEARING.
MEETING OF SHEEPOWNERS.
A meeting of the Farmers' Defence Committee in connection with the'N.Z. Farmers' Union was: held in Murray'is Hall, Masterton, last evening, Mr Off. A. Nevins presiding. There was a fair attendance. The object of the meeting was to discuss the question of the shearing rate for the coming season. The meeting was adjourned., after some discussion, until the afternoon of July 29th. In /the meantime sheepownera are,to be communicated with by circular.
