THE CHRISTCHURCH INCIDENT.
The incident at Christohurch on Tuesday night, when the Leader of the Opposition was denied an opportunity to place hi si views before the people, has very little political significance. From the accounts of the episode which have come .to hand, it would appear that Ohristchurch was "out for the night." For various reasons, five thousand people sought to gain admission to a hall which will iaxj3oanimodiate only one thousand. It would seem that a certain number possessed admission tickets, and that some of the remainder, feeling sore, forced on entrance into the building, whilst the disappointed ones created a "hullabaloo" outside. The incident was flattering to Mr Massey, so far as it went. It was a disgrace to Christohurch.
