MIS-STATEMENTS.
The Hon. G. Fowlds is reported to have 'Stated at Rotoru a last night, when explaining away a silly paragraph that had appeared' somewhere in the ibaekblocks, that ''at the present time Opposition speakers and lawspapers were prepared to go to any lengths in the .matter of mis--statements." This is a very serious charge to .come from a Minister of the Crown. So far as the Opposition speakers and newspapers in this part of the Dominion are concerned, tlie assertion, is without foundation in fact.
