HOSPITAL BALL.
THE CHILDREN'S EVENING. The Hospital UaJl was continued in the Town and Drill Hall in Ma, terton last night, the whole evening being devoted to the chi.dren. The halls were packed with children attired in I all descriptions of fancy dresses, and j they presented a delightful sight: ' Boys and girls from sixteen years old j down to ?,bout eighteen months, par- i ticipated in the dancing and the grand march. Mrs Kendall and Miss Wolff had the children perfectly trained, and they performed the grand march splen- j didly, without a hitch. There were large entries in the waltzing competitions, and the "kiddies" acquitted themselves so well that the judges had a difficult task to decide upon the winners. The funds of the hospital will benefit considerably. ,
