Entries from aIH parts of the province have come in for the annual show of the South Wairarapa Poultry Association, to be held here next week, ajid the fixture promises to be a great success. The weather continues very unsettled, there having been very httb sunshine for the past week. Mr B. Roberts, who has been laid utp witii a severe cold, has recovered sufficiently to be able to resume his business. The many friends of Mr and Mrs Alex. Mackenzie, now of Okaiawa, Hawera, and formerly of Okrev;Ue, will regret to hear of Mrs Mao 1 ; •.•!- aie's mother's death, which tool-: place at' Okaiawa on Tuesday. A bachelor's ball is to be held at Kiaiwiaiwai on Thursday, July ißth. The ladies of the local Golf Club play a match, for the President's (Mr W. H. Booth, of Middle Run) trophy, on the Oarrington Lin lis on Thursday next. There will be three matches played on co Thursdays, the two best scores to count for the trophy.
