A FEAT IN CABLE WORK.
One of the finest feats on record in modern journalism. and long-dis-tance telegraphy was performed in connection with the Coronation of King George V. last week. New Zealand time is, roughly, eleven and ; a half hours- ahead of that Of the Motherland, bo that the ceremony in Westminster Abbey was taking place at what was 11 p.m. of Thursday in New Zealand. The first messages concerning the decorations, route of procession, etc., reached Masterton between 7 and 8 o'clock on Thursday night, and .continuous messages were received throughout the might, the last reaching the "Age" office at 2 a.m., and enabling subscribers to the paper to gain a fairly accurate icJea of the ceremony at an early hour'of Friday morning.
