UPPER PLAIN RAINFALL. Mr J. C*'Bodda-ngton reports:— Ram fell on. 13 days in May. Maximum ifall in 24 hours, 84 points, registered on the 11th, and 64 poinits on the 18th. Minimum 2 points on 2nd and 13th; total for month, 2.89 in., as compared with 3.59, 5.25, 5.69, 9.62, 2.94, 4.62 and 2.34 in 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, and 1910, the average being 4.86 inches. 'Elbe total for tuie past five months, aggregated 15.21 inches, the average for the corresponding period being 18.79 inches.
