WAIRAftAPA HOCKcY ASSOCIATION TAKES ACTION.

At the meeting of the Management Committee of the Wairarapa Hockey Association in Master-ton last evening, the correspondence on the subject of drinking in licensed areas by members of athletic teams, which has recently appeared in the columns of the Age, came up for discussion. The committee decided to take stringent measures to prevent room for future complaint, so far as travellinghockey players are concerned. IE was decided that all travelling teams he placed in dharge of managers to be approved by the Association ; that any junior team leaving without a duly iaccredited manager be subject to disqualification; that any memjber supplying intoxicating liquors -to junior players be stringently dealt with; and that ia copy of these resolutions be sent to the secretary of each club.
