. LONDON MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile. Agency Company, Limited, have'received the following cablegram from their London house : Wheat.—Sold at 36s 6d c.i.f., Australian cargo." Very little demand. Favourable crop_ reports. Market prospects Continent not likely to improve at present. We quote per qr., c.i.f., New Zealand wheat, longberried, 335; short-berried, 32s 6d. Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Good mutton, 34s 9d per cwt.; good beef, 32s 3d; mixed, 31s. Market lower tendency. EKETAHUNA STOCK SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Go. report on their Eketahuna stock sale lield yesterday:— We bad 'a fair yarding of ■siheap and oatitle, the sheep, on tile whole, being of very poor quality. We made a total clearance of sitock at late -prices,,. Quotations : Mixed aged ewes, 6s, 8s 3d, 8s 9d, to 9s 3d; two-tooth wethers,, poor, 7s 9d, 8s Bd, to lis 9d; mixed lambs, >4s 2d, ss, to 5s 9d. Cattle: —Speyed 18-month heifers, £2 l;3s 6d; springing heifers, £4 12s 6d to £5 Is.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale yesterday, to a fair attendance of buyers, We submitted a small ya,rdiug of both sheep and cattle. However, Ave made a total clearance, except one pen of cattle. We quote:—Two. tooth wethers, 12s 6d to 12s 9d; woolly lambs, 7s 6d to 8s ; dairy cows, £4 Is to £4 10s; store cows, £3 to £3 10s; weaner calves, £1 Is.
