A CORRECTION.
Mr N. A. hon.secretary of the. (Carterton Football Ohib, ■writes:— kindly aHow me space 'in your vaiuaib'ie paper to correct two mistakes in itSie report of the Carterton—Gladstone, football match in Monday'® issue. The report says that a numiber of the Gladstone players were absent, and thai two other? were so badly injured that: they had to leave the' field. This as altogether wrong. Gladstone took the field with their .full strength, with one exception. E. Nitz , was absent, Ms place "being taken by I. Norman., Carterton were also without the services ofS. Sievers. One player (S._ Mason) wa« hurt shortly after the oomanencement of the game, aaid had retire, his place being taken by K. Foreman. The football public who are unable to attend the games look to the newspapers for reliable reports, and the report in Monday's issue takes, all merit from Carterton' 0 win. /
