EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE.
Messrs Dainty arid Co., Ltd., report having IheUd their usual weekly sale tft Eketahuna on Friday, May 19th. Owing to the very rough weather experienced 'during the las* few' days, we only had a limited entry. Sheep isfoiowlktg any quality sold at prices on excess of late vahies. Poorer sort® were neglected. We quote:— Sheep: Lambs, 3s 9d to 7a 7d; f.im. ewes, in lamb, 5s 7d, 6s 9d to 7s 6d; 2-tooth empty ewes (poor sorts) 7is 2d.' No cattle were yarded. CLIAm'-C GALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having heSdi. a clearing isale of dairy cows, etc., on account of Mr G. Attwood. Notwithstanding the rough weather we 'hiad a very fair attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. The prices obtained must Obe considered' very satisfactory. The cows oame forward in good condition, and the competition was very keen. Pricfes for ewes ranged from £4 to £lO ss, making the good average of £7 8s for the whole herd; 18nmorith to 20-mon:tli steers, £3 17s; mixed wonners, 35is; smaM weaners (poor sorts) llis; weaner heatfers, £2 10s. Sundries sold well.
