AVENGING A WRONG.

A widow named Talemantes, whose husband and two sons were shot as rebels, entered the insurgents' ranks and organised a band of Indians. All of them were from, the neighbourhood where Colonel Chiapas' forces were operating. They captured Chiapas after a despearate ride, Chiapas being wounded. The widow then ordered his execution, which was promptly done by an Indian firing party. It was by Chiapas' orders +hat the widow Talemantes' husband and twc sons were condemned to death.
