A SENSATIONAL TRIAL.
TWELVE PERSONS INVOLVED. United Press Association—By Electric TelSgraph—Copyright. . (Received May 17, 11.35 a.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, May 16. The sensational trial of twelve persons has begun, the accused including Colonel Valdimir Voljardjarsky, lately Master of Horse at the Imperial Court, and his adopted son. Dmitri Voliardjarsky. The former is accused of forging a will to secure for his adopted son the title and Polish estates of Prince Bogdan Oginsky, who is childless. Dmitri confessed, and told an amazing story of intrigue, mentioning that Catholic priests were assisting on his promising to become a Catholic. Other prisoners include two noblemen, a lieutenant, a Catholic priest, and four lawyers.
