CHARITABLE AID COMMITTEE.
MONTHLY MEETIMC. A meeting of the North Wadrarapa Charitable Aid Committee was held at the Masterton Hospital at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 16th inst. There were present— Messrs W. Fisher (presiding), H. J. O'Leary, D. J. Cameron, " v V. Morris, Murray Jackson, Ja.s. Miller and Mrs Cairns. The secretary apologised for the unavoidable absence of Mr J. B. Keith. The treasurer's report showed receipts for the month £6 19s Id, balance' from last meeting £315 2a Bd, total £322 Is 9d, whilst the expenditure for the same period was £76 5s 5d s leaving a credit balance at date of £245 16s 4d. The list of recipients of Charitable Aid was considered in detail, and on, the motion of Mir Cameron, seconded iby Mr Morris, the secretary was instructed to ask the Board's inspector (Mr J. Cairns) to make enquiries in respect of all oases on the list and submit a report concerning same to the next meeting of the 'Committee. In the meantime an application from Mirs Sewell for" assistance was granted. Mr Murray Jackson reported having visited the Ren all Solway Home during the past month, and found ftiatters flt the Home in a satisfactory condition. The secretary reported eight in■mates iat present in'the Home, one having been admitted during the •month, and one discharged. Mr, Keith was appointed visiting 'member for the ensuing month, and the meeting adjourned.
