NIREAHA
The supply of milk to the local dairy factory has diminished of late, tho amount now having fallen to about lOOOgals. It is anticipated that tho factory will close down for the winter months very early in June. After the drought it looked as though feed would bo very scarce in tho winter, but the rain, combined with tho mild weather that has set in since then, allay any fears on that score.
Mr Tom Mason has disposed of his property at a satisfactory figure.
The Bush Districts football season open Saturday, when a match will be played between Mangatainoka and the local team at Nireaha. Mr and Mrs Davidson are at present enjoying a holiday in Nelson.
Tho children's festival in connection with the Anglican Sunday School, to be held in St. Mary's Church on Sunday next, which was to have been conducted by the Rev. H. Walke, will be taken by the Rev. D. 0. Hampton, of Masterton, as the Vicar is unfortunately laid tip with a sprained ankle.
