In conversation with an Age representative on Saturday, one of the prime movers in the movement for -th& establishment. of s, Co-operative Auctioneering Company at Masterton for the purpose of holding sales at the northern end of ihe town, said he was afraid the project would have v to be abandoned. There were a, large number of farmers who were desirous of i sales being held in the Waipoua yards, but they,were not willing to guarantee the whole of their stock to these yards. Possibly, liowever, the W.F.C.A. may secure a sufficient guarantee to justify them in opening the yards.
