CANNING OPERATIONS
AT WAINCAWA MEAT WORKS. Canning operations at the Waangawa meat freezing woi-ks wer* commenced on Monday. These will: keep seven or eight men employed throughout the winter. About 100,- \ €OO sheep's tongues are ready for v canning, and a considerable number of bullocks' tongues are in the freezing chamber. The who!e of the tins and other apparatus required for •fanning are manufactured r' the. works.
