A RECENT REPORT.
In a market report issued on March 10th last, Messrs Gilbert Anderson , and Co., of London, state: — "The new brand of Wellington mutton and lamb, "W.F.M.", has m-ft with considerable, favour—quality excellent, and commai:ded top prices." Ai the time of this report, best .Norifla ■■ Island was quoted up to 3fd per lb | for mutton. Best Canterbury lamb, ! under 361b, was quoted at 5Jd, and j best North Island, under 361bs, at ] 4Jd. On March 20th, Messrs Fitter! and Sons' report quoted ,best Canter- j bury mutton at 3'£d to 4id, and | prime Canterbury lamb a± 4f d to s|d. ] Wellington mutton (best) was quot- j ■ed at 3id to. 3sd, and lamb at 4Jd to 5Jd for best brands. The Wellington Farmers' Meat Company's shipment by the Rotorua, which was sold between March 6th and March 17th, realised as follows: Best quality mutton, 3|d to 4Jd; second quality 3Jd to -33 d. Lamb, best quality, irom ssd to s£d; second qoality, 4£d;to sd.
