MANAWATU CALEDONIAN SPORTS.
SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. A Palmerston North telegram states that there was a very large attendance at the Caledonian Society's gathering yesterday. The 100 yards amateur event was won by Kernohan; the j.OO yards open event by Price; the half-mile cycle event by Griffin; half-mile flat, Redward; the amateur 220 yards by Kernohan; the mile bicycle event by Miller; 220 yards flat, Bates ; 880 yards .amateur, Gardener; two-mile wheel race, Griffin ; wrestling, Scott; bagpipe march, R. P'inlayson; strathspeys and reels, J.- McKechnip; Highland fling, reel and sheauntrebeus, J. McKechnie; reel, Jeffries.
