MASTERTON SOUTH BAND

SACRED CONCERT,

A most successful sacreu concert was held in the Masterton Town Hall last night, under the auspices of th.i Masterton South Brass Band. There was a very good audience, ;nd a first-class programme was presented. A silver coin collection was taken up, and the funds of the Band should 'benefit appreciably in consequence. The first-class programme was entirely in the hands of the Mayoress (Mrs J. M. Coradine), to whom the Band desire to extend their sincere thanks. Thanks are also due to the contributors. The programme, which was thoroughly appreciated, was as ' follows: Anthem, "Hark the Glad Sound," South Band; song, "The Holy City," Mr H. F. Green; pianoforte solo, Mr H. S. Claughton, A.T.C.L.,L.A.8.; song, Miss V. Edwards, A.T.C.L.; trio, "Tranquility, ' Messrs A.-Russell, J. Harding, ard J. W. Bentley; vocal duet, -"Love Divine," Miss V. Edwards and Mr H. F. Green; 'cello solo, "Ver- r/-.i, ' Mr A. Russell; song, \lr V. (>.
