AMUSEMENTS.

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

SPECIAL EASTER ATTRACTIONS

For their patrons during the Easter holidays, Messrs Thompson and Payne have obtained a- special lot of pictures, and the first of this series will'be shown to-night. The dramatic, comic, scenic, industrial and instructive films are' such that they are sure to meet with the approbation of those w'ho patronise Masterton's Electric Theatre. Two sensational dramas will be shown, these being "The Law of the West," (a story of cowboy justice in the Wild West in the days when the man vrno could "pull his gun quickest" reigned supreme), and "The Governor''S Daughter" (a capital convict tale introducing a realistic train smash). "A Fight for Millions" and "The Buffoons" are two dramatic pictures that are sure ■to be favourites. The comics are "real screamers, ' and' include "The Phantom Fortune," "Courting the Merry Widow," "The Darling's Confusion," and "Davy Jones and Captain Bragg." In the scenics "Salsbourg Lakes" is a. very pretty picture. A numlber of other interesting pictures will be shown. The current programme ivnr. shown for the last time last evening, at the Foresters' Mali, to a large and appreciative audience.
