IKAROA MAORI LAND BOARD.
MEETING IN MASTERTON. A meeting of the Ikaroa- District Maori Land Board was held in the Courthouse at Masterton yesterday, the following members being present: —Messrs J. B. Jack (President), Ihaia Hutana and Eruera Nicholson (members), and L. A. Teutenberg (Clerk). the following applications were approved:— Akura No. 2., Sub. B.—Transfer of 1 acre from Taiawhio Te Tau to Martin Kerins.
Motmvaireka No. 2. Transfer of 30 acres 2 roods 20 perches from Rami Potangaroa to Ann Eraser. Awaawaroa No. 1, Sub. I. Lease of 351 acres from Native owners to .Martin Elgar. Awaawaroa. No. 1, Sub. 2.—Lease of 70 acres from Native owners to Martin Elgar. Pohue A. No. 2 (part).— Transfer of 28(5 acres from Taiawhio te Tan to Ellen Wrigley . /Pohue A. No. 2. (part).— Transfer of 286 acres from Taiawhio te Tan to Eva Nellie Wrigley. Hinana No. 1, A. (part).—- Transfer of interest of Teone Henare Kingi to Jessie C. Strang. Te WJiiti South, 1 B Transfer of interest of Win'hita Pinea te Tcira to Wiramina Ropoama and others.
Kawakawa No. 1 B.—Transfer of interest of Paerikiriki Otene to Iraia te Whaiti and Mary Ann Sutherland. Matakitaki No. I. Transfer of interest of Paerikiriki Otene to. Iraia te Whaiti and Mary Ann Sutherland.
Motmvaireka No. 3, In regard to this application it was decided to convene a mvoting of owners under Part .XVIII. of thi Native Land Act, 1909, to consider proposal to sell.
Applications in respect to Tahuroa C Pirinoa, Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 5, and Ohaeretahi No. 1/were adjourned to the next sitting of the Board in Masterton, at the request of the applicants.
An application for tlie precedent consent of the Board under Section 209 of the Native Land Act, 1909, to a sale of Pukengaki No. 7 was rfffusd.
