MR JOHN PHILIPSON.
Mr John Philipson, the High Chief Ruler of the Independent Order of Rechabites, who visits Masterton on Monday nest, is said to be a fluent speaker and a man of personal charms. As the head of an Order which exercises great power and influence among the Friendly Societies of the United Kingdom, he may be regarded as a very distinguished visitor. There can be very little doubt that he- will be accorded a heart.v welcome to Masterton, and that his address on' the work of Friendly Societies will be appreciated.
