FIRE BRIGADES' PRIVILEGES.
In the case in which the Christchurch Fire Board was proceeded against for damages on account of the Fire Brigade having failed to observe the rules of the road, the Magistrate gave judgment for the plaintiff for £23 2s. This establishes the point that Fire Brigades have no special privileges when proceeding to tires, and if an accident occurs through their negligence, they are jointly and individually liable.
