SPORTING NOTES.
MANAWATU RACING CLUB. The Mariawatu Racing Club's popular fixture will take place on Wednesday and Thursday next, at the Awapuni Racecourse, Palmerston North. Intending from the Wairarapa would do well to acquaint themselves with the new train arrangements. The first train from Masterton leaves at 6.20 a.m., arriving at Palmerston North at 11.5 a.m., whilst trains are running to and from the course. The return train to the Wairarapa leaves Palmerston North at 5.50 p.m.
