MASTERTON—TUESDAY,

DONALDSON v. DONALDSON.

Jesse Donaldson v. Maria Donaldson.— Application for a dissolution of marriage, on the ground of adultery drunkenness-. Mr Hollings appeared for the petitioner. Arthur Jones was -cited'as co-respondent. Evidence was given that the parties were married in 1898, aud there, •wag one .child by-the marriage. They lived,- together in Masterton, Dannevirke, Hastings, and Palmerston North. The respondent had been addicted to drink for some years past.

Sergeant Miller deposed to having visited the house occupied by the respondent, and found her drunk. The co-respondent was present milder compromising circumstances. - r ; His Honor granted a decree; ; nisi.

Mairtiu^Wiltoh.;' telegraph-' linesman, petitioned for a dissolution of marriage from his> wife, Rosina E. Wilton, on a charge of her adultery with Charles Sowman, who was joined as co-respondent. Mr T. M. Wilford, instructed, by Mr G. H. Cullen,'appeared for the petition, er, and Mr C.'A! Pownall for the respondent. The case, was heard, by the following jury:— Messrs A. Young (foreman), J. K. Blinkhorne, T. Bannister, H. C. Donald, W. Hubbard, F. C. Pull, C. Stevens, W. H. Judd; C. H r Ladner, W. C. Coulter, P. Evans, and E. A. Mercer. The petitioner also claimed £SOO damages from the co-respondent, and the custody of the two children.

His Honor prohibited the publication of the details of the case, and ordered the Court to be cleared.
