ANNUAL SWIMMING SPORTS

The fine weather that prevailed yesterday morning was very favourable for the annual swimming sports for the children of St. Patrick's School' and St. Bride's Convent, held in the Dixon Street baths, Muster-ton. There was a large number of parents present, and they all enjoyed the sports. ■ Dean McKenna, assisted by several others, was at the head of affairs, and succeeded in making the gathering extremely successful. The events were' all well contested, resulting in some' very close finishes. The results of the competitions are as follow: 15 Yards Learners' Handicap, (boys), first prize 2s, second Is, third 6d.— Tom O'Dowd 1, Charles Reynolds 2, Mattie Kerins 3. 15 Yards Learners' Handicap (girls), first prize 2s, second Is, 'third 6d.—- 'K. Bunny 1, Patience Frost 2, Agnes Treader 3.
