THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The vast audience at the Foresters' Hall last evening freely expressed its approval of the capital pictorial fare provided by. Messrs Thompson and Payne. Of. the dramas, "The Telephone" contains a realistic fire scene, and vividly portrays the events leading up to the use of the telephone as a means of oringing help to those in the burning building. "Agrippina" was a stirring drama of the. days: of Tvero, and relates to the assassination of the mother of the notorious I ruler of Rome.. Some good scenic I films xvere presented, the best being "An Ascent of tortjengrai." The comedies and comics were excellent. The programme will be presented for the last time this evening. On Monday evening some special pictures will be shown, including the thrilling cowboy and' Indian drama, "In the Rockies," the great historical play "King Henry V11i.," and an adaptation of Nathaniel Hawthorne's famous work, "The House of Seven Gables."
