EKETAHUNA SALE. Messrs Dal-getv audi Uo., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly ■stile at Eketalvulia on Friday, 10th •inst. We had; an exceptionally heavy, yarding of sheep, but bidding under the liammer was slack, except for stuff of good quality, which soVl well. We have to report la total clearance, with the exception of one pen of lamibs. We quote;— Sheep: 2-tootn wethers (poor) from 9s 3d to lis 7d; ewes on account of Mr A. Clapham, ,400 mixed ages at lis 6d, 50 mixed ages at 10s, 200 mixed ages at 7.® 4d to 9s 9d; woolly lamb®, 7s 9d to 10s 7d; cull wooEy lambs, 3s 6d ito 5s 7d; f.m. ewes, 4s 6d to 8s 6d; fat and forward ewes, 7s to 7s 6d; shorn lambs, poor, 3s lid to 10s Id;' cull ewe®, 3s. 6d to ss.

Messrs Abraham aind William 0, Ltd., report on' their Eketahuna < sale, held yesterday, as under:— An exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep was submitted, it being found impossible to accommodate the lot, the cattle yards having to bo made use of. Our entry comprised 3500 sheep of various classes, which met a dragging : sale. At times it appeared as if a "rot" had set in, and many ipens were passed at auction. Several serviceable lines of 2-tooth ewes were offered, but the enquiry was limited, audi, oauly the better classes were 'disposed of. Aged ewes in backward condition were yarded in large numbers, and most of them were isold, but at much lower values* than the previous week. The entry of cattle was confined to a few pexuS", but. the business done is hardly worth recording. Quotations- 2-tooth wethers, lis to lis 6d; 2-tooth ewes, lis 3d to 13s, and up to 14s 2d for an, extra good line. Culls, 9s lid to 10s lOd ;woolly lambs, 7s Id to 7® 6d; small, 5s Gd; agedl ewes, 6s to 8s 6d; crocks, 2s 9d to 3s 4d ,and up to 4s for, better lots. Four-tooth Lin-coln-Rom ney rams, guineas; r.ged rams, 1 to li guineas; 2-tooth Lincoln rams, 1 guinea; aged Southdown rams 3gn. to 1 guinea.
