PERSONAL.

Inspector F. B. Bakewell, M.A., is at present on an official visit to , the schools in Masterton.

Mr T. S. Eonaldson, has been appointed Deputy Public -Trustee and Chief Inspector in the place of the late Mr A. A. K. Duncan. Mr Ronaldson is well-known in the Wairarapa, and his many friends will be pleased to hear of his promotion. The funeral of the late Mrs Job Vile took place at Pahiatua yesterday, and the remains were followed to their last resting place by a large number of friends and settlers from all parts. The Rev. W. H. Speer conducted the funeral service. Numerous wreaths and floral tributes were placed on the coffin.
