SITTING CLOSED. BIBLE IN SCHOOLS QUESTION. [By Telegraph—Press Association.'] CHRISTOHURCH, Last Night. At tile afternoon sitting of the Methodist Conference, a committee was set up to collect evidence regarding the working of the New South Wales, or Nelson, or any other system tof Bible-reading in stftiool'9, and report 'to the next Conference. That the time was ripe for the New Zealand University having power to grant degrees in divinity was affirmed. The invitation of Pitt Street, Auckland, thait the next Conference meet there on 29th February, 1912; was aocepted, and the Conference rose.
