To-day's shooting has been under the most .ideal conditions throughout, and the day's business has been heavier than usual, comprising the 800 yards stage of the '.Nelson Match, Canterbury Match, 800 yards Loophole, Moving Target, and Sectional Firing Match. In.addition to this long list jin extra matci- was got off. Following were the principal prize, winners in the Nelson Match, 500. and 800 yards, 'ten, shots: — Drummond (Westport) £5„ 93; Duncan (Millertbn) £4, 97; Patrick (Auckland) £4, 97; Wickens (Wellington) £3, 96; King (Linwood) £B, 96; iSmaill (Kaitangata) £2, 95; Ken-, i:edy (Napier) 95; Logan (Bleu-, lieim), £2, 95; Henderson (Sounds) £2, 94; Watt (AVestport) £2, 94. The principal prize -winners in the Canterbury Match "were: — Hyde /(Opaki), £5, 50; Moslerf (Ivaeo) £4; 50; Foster (Timaru) £4, 49; Baker (Hutt), Harrison (Wiiuganui), Law (Dannevirlce), £3, each 49,; Purneil (AVanganui), Bur s and Halliday (Karori), Keitli (Dunedin), £2 each, 49. Of the 75 who won, £l, no score ' was more than, three short of the possible, and live 47'® were counted out. . There were ten £1 and twenty 10s prizes for tyros. In the moving target match, seven shots at the 800 yards target, appearing in different parts of the trenc-h at iregular intervals, the following are the principal prizewinners:— Loophole Match: Laken (Blenheim) -2 10s; "Crimp (Dunedin) £2 10s; -tßyder (Hastings) £2 10s; Frank (Nelson) •£2 10s; Lane .(Auckland) £2 10s; Starkey (Napier) £2; Farland (Christelmrch) £2; Willoughby (Wairarapa) £2. Twenty-seven receive £1 each, eight 10s each, and! a number •receive smaller amounts. ■ The sectional target. match is uncompleted.
