THE GERMAN SYSTEM

ADOPTED BY OTHER COUNTRIES

(Received Last- Night, 5.5 o'clock.)

BERLIN, March 5. Brazil is making wireless telegraphy a Government monopoly. The German Tclefunken Company has been commissioned to erect six stations. The Marconi Company's application for a concession was rejected, although it offered the Government, besides a lower rate, 50 per cent of the gross earnings. Argentine, Peru, Chili, and ' Uruguay are also taking the same steps, and have ordered a number of Tclefunken stations. Argentine's seven stations will cover the entire coast line.
