The annual report of the Masterton ; Gold Dredging Co.V Ltd.; .:?.tof; be:pre- : I sented at the annual meeting : to. be | held oa March Slst, is as'follows:— i N of gold won during the year wlfif 2240zs lldwts 6grs ; , yielding. £4850 6s'¥d; and the dividends declared amounted to £1750, or 7s per I,share, making,with the £5 14s per to January,3lstj 19l0, : a total A of'A£S-.ls per share, or £30,250;' ; ..; •■;_.).. The first return from the dredge was on the 15th.September, 1904, and the total value of the' gold; won to January 31st, 1911, is over £52,000; the returns since operations commenced have averaged over 40ozs per week. The amount of unexpended capital, • £4OO, still remains on fixed deposit with the National Bank of New Zeaj land; Limited. • v , ' V It is with regret that the directors have tb; record ithe;'death of , one .of their colleagues, Mr J. R. Jones,, who died suddenly, on October ,30th ; lastFor some' years he held the position of Chairman', and gained much respect from shareholders and "others connected with the company. Mr Edward Lawson was appointed to fill the vacancy on the board, but he now retires in accordance with the Articles of the Association. Mr James Brown, the- company's auditpr,: also retires, and both getnlemen, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.
