' The Methodist Conference was resumed this morning. A committee was set up to frame a suitable response to an appeal from the N.Z. Alliance for increased efforts in the temperance cause. A committee was appointed' to report -on the. overture from the Presbyterian: Church%n xl the subject of combatting Sabbath desecration,. Conference committees weife set up, and a comimititee was a.ls| set up to prepare '■S^p^tjfiessesi. iij. connection with the- Eihg'sCoronation , and the appointment of Lord'lslington. Several lay members were appointed to ; the stationing, committee.. A letter [ was read from the President of the 1 Primitive Methodist Conference on the subject,of union, and the Rey. iC. H.
