WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.

MEETING OF DIRECTORS. A meeting of directors of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held in the Dominion Hall on Saturday last. Present: Mr Alex. McLeod, President (in the chair), J. H. Pauling, E. H. Waddington, G. Stewart, Geo. McHattie, E. E. Chamberlain, D. McLachlan, J. B. McEenaie, and R. Cameron. An apology for absence was received from,Mr W. Sellar. Correspondency was received from the Secretary Wellington Centre Athletic Union, re appeal from the decision of the directors in the protest from E. N. Miller. It was decided that as the action of the directors is borne out by the hahdicapper (Mr Shannon), .who is satisfied that the starts allotted were correct, no further action be taken. Seven new members were elected. The sum of £3 3s was voted as a donation to the Park Beautifying Committee. The President drew attention ' to rule 13, which provides that a director who is absent from three consecutive meetings without an apology vacates his seat. It was decided to interview directors who were dilatory in this respect.
