PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a sale of weaner calves at their. Mangahao yards yesterday, when they offered some 300 heifer and steer, calves. Entries did not come forward to advertised numbers, owing to farmers considering their prices would not be realised until rain was experienced in the district. However, we have to report a clearance, with the exception of two small pens, of the whole of our entry at prices which, in most cases, exceeded the expectations of vendors. We quote:—Mixed weaners, 28s 6d. ■29s, 325, 375, 38s 6d, 39s 6d to £2 Is'. Weaner heifers,, 38s 6d, 40s to 43s for good sorts; weaner steers, 38s, 39s 6d, to 40s 6d. . . '
