FISHING VILLAGE SWEPT AWAY.

253 MEN MISSING

(Received Last Night, 10.20 o'clock.)

HELSINGFORS, February (5. The entire fishing village established on the ice outside Bjorko Sound, Finland, consisting of 253 men, together with their huts and horses, has been carried out to sea during a violent gale. Their rescue is impossible from the Finnish coast. Russian steamers have been despatched to the rescue.
