Things are becoming decidedly interesting in regard to, the Masterton seat. Four Opposition candidates are alerady in the" field against the-. •sitting' memltef, and now a fourth \ aspirant comes forward in the: person of Mr John Hunter, who, on this occasion, throws in his lot with the Government. Still another candidate is spo_on of as an Independent, whilst the Labour Partyare nbfr yet decided to whom they will -extend their support. As the time for the election draws nearer, there may ,be a few others who are wiljing ' to: offer themselves on the altar, of public duty. .Meanwhile, 1 Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P., is naturally wondering, what all the fuss is, about.
