NASAL BOT.

When the report was first circulated that a dangerou.B form of disease known as nasal bot was decimating the flocks of sheep in tha Wairarapa, the Age pointed out that the report was entirely without foundation. The Agricultural Department has quickly endorsed this opinion, and has told the Hawke's. Bay A. and P. Association that there are no grounds whatever for alarm. \ Howsuch a ridiculous report came to-be circulated most people are at a loss to know. That it was quick to travel is evidenced by the report W :the discussion at the meeting of the" Canterbury A. and P. Association, published in the Age some . weeks back. It is fortunate that the Agricultural- Department .has'., seen the necessity for promptly an&'emphatdcally protecting the Wairarapa against damage from the circulation of so silly a rumour.
