' Beyond being badly bruised about the head and bcvly, Mr Murrell had no bones oro'oi, which was almost a miracle. r Jhe sufferer is at present progressingfavourably. iThe school picnic which taken place to-day promises to be a Siir> cessful affair. Mr Hogg, Member for the district, has been asked to attend and distribute the ■prixe's. This, I believe, he has consented to do. . • . ■'
The railway, station, on arrival of the 8 p.m. train last night, resembled a miniature city, owing to the arrival of members of the religious body who are holding a convention at Hukanui. Fully ten minutes were occupied in detraining passengers and luggage.
