SUDDEN DEATH.
AT THE MASTERTON EAILW-i. STATION. 'Miss'Mary. Cleaver, a young woman, between twenty-live and thirty years of age, died suddenly on the Masterton railway ; station" about noon yesterday. Deceased, who was a daughter-in-law of Mr Robert Ben tley, resided in Cole Street with the latter'and his wife. Mr and Mrs Beritley and deceased had prepared to shift their home to Napier, and while on the way to the station, Miss Cleaver, who. smarted out apparently quite well, took suddenly ill. 'She became worse, and on reaching the station it was thought advisable to telephone for a doctor. Br Cowie quickly arrived on the scene, but his efforts did not prevent Miss Cleaver!' from, expiring a few minutes after. The. body; was conveyed to the morgue, and an inquest will be.held to-day.'
