MINIATURE RIFLE RANGE.
AT THE MASTERTON SCHOOL. The miniature rifle range at the Masterton District High School is now completed. The contractor has carried out the work in an exeenent manner, and the cadets will soon he able to commence shooting practice. Formerly the Masterton cadets were compelled to go either to Fairview Range or To Ore Ore Range for shooting practice, so that the erection of the miniature range will "be ■a great convenience. All that is required now is that the construction of the range be approved by the Commandant of the cadet forces, Major Mac Donald. At last night's meeting of the School Committee a letter from the Commandant was read, in which, the latter stated that he intended coming to Masterton to inspect the range as soon as the Timaru camp was over, which was to have been at the end of January. It is now expected that the Oommndant will visit Masterton at a very early date.
