Porter, who is now training at Awapuni, contemplates taking Paisano, Te Arai, and Continuancce over to Australia during the autumn. The trio should do well on "the other side.". Obsono, who ran second to Equitas in the C.J.C. Stewards' Handicap, ran five furlongs at Trentham on Tuesday morning, and is therefore expected to run forward at the Wellington meeting. M. T.McGrath leaves for Trentham this morning with Sunbonnet and Zealand! W. Hawthorn will take Lochiela down to-morrow. White Cockade has been put into work at Riccarton, in view of winter rac'ng. He should prove very useful in hurdle racing, as he • has a fine turn of speed. Mr "Lance Wood," of Wellington, has leased the filly Monorose, by Monoform-Brown Rose,' from an Auckland breeder. Esmeh, a full sister to Tumut, will be racing at Trentham on Saturday. The filly started at the Hawke's Bay meeting, but failed to run prominently. Reservoir is to be put to steeplechasing in the coming winter. Acceptances for the general events, and entries for the Trial Hack and Scurry at the Palriatua meeting, are .due to-morrow.
