Postmaster-General promised a deputation of Queensland Federal •'members to keep Brisbane claims in mind in arranging the new Canadian Australian service, ,now that Canada has arranged a service direct with New Zealand. Mr Fisher, referring to the matter, said it might be advantageous to Australia to haye a service between Sydney arid San Francisco as a substitute for the Vancouver service. It was very questionable indeed whether more important interests would not thus be served than by the Vancouver lino. ..The matter, however, has not yet received Cabinet consideration.
