MR PETER BOWLING.
The Labour Federation of New Zealand, on mature consideration, has decided that it would be unwise to employ Mr Peter Bowling as organiser. The Press of the Dominion, and a majority of the Labour Unions, have expressed the opinion that this country! can get on very well without the assistance of the Newcastle strike-leader. The Auckland Star puts the position..succinctly when,it says:—"Though the workers of New" Zealand are too sensible to imagine, that any arbitration system or any code of law ; s can redress all human grievances aVonce, they liava learned 1 ' by experience that they *can gain practically all* that they require by the use of legitimate political methods. They are tired of all these empty negations and this vapoury destructive criticism; they want to hear something original or constructive; and they have probably realised by. this time, like the Newcastle workers themselves, that they are not at .all likely to ge.it from "Mr Peter Bowling:"' : V"\ ; '
