THE FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
In their report on the frozen meat trade • for'the year ended October 31st, Messrs Gilbert Anderson and Co., of London, show that prices have been good and regular, and the averages at the close were a little higher than at the commencement. The shipments from different countries show that while those from and New Zealand disclose considerable growth in all lines, those from the River Plate have declined, but then larger shipments of;chilled beef are sent from that part of the worldj the quantity being 1,478,000 quarters, as compared with 1,022,000 quarters during the preceding .year. A feature of the returns is that New Zealand is getting a iriuch greater-'quantity .of' frozen lamb on to the Home markets, whereas Australia's increase is mainly in mutton, v, i •
