LABOUR MATTERS.
A MOTION DEFEATED. (Received December 30, 9.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 30. The Labour Council defeated a motion of censure on the Minister for. Labour (Mr Beeby) for allowing shops to open on Christmas Eve. The council received from the Colliery Employees' Federation a sub scriution list for a tA«+.i™or>- 0 TvL. Peter Bowling. The list was received in silence, and allowed to lie on" the secretary's table in order that members desiring to do so may subscribe.
